David R. Bretz, CFP®, CKA®

David R. Bretz, CFP®, CKA®, MBA, is the founder of the firm and an independent financial planner at Everstead Financial Group.  He specializes in comprehensive financial planning and investment management, with a focus on helping clients make thoughtful, confident decisions over the long term.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Miami University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. He has also passed the Certified Public Accountant examination.

He is deeply committed to advancing financial education. David has taught finance and investment courses at the University of California at San Diego and San Diego State University, and has spoken to employee groups at organizations including Callaway Golf, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, and the San Diego Chargers. He also developed and taught a workshop, Women As Independent Investors, which was televised to promote continuing education for women seeking financial independence. He has appeared on local radio discussing financial planning topics.

David is a member of the San Diego Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and Kingdom Advisors, Inc.

In his free time, Dave enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife, Pam, spending time with their family and serving in church ministries.
